Impact of data processing on deriving micro-mobility patterns from vehicle availability data

Vehicle availability data is emerging as a potential source for micro-mobility research and applications. However, there not yet that systematically evaluates or validates the processing of this mobility data. To fill gap, we propose generally applicable framework validate its related algorithms. The exploits vehicle to identify individual trips derive aggregate patterns by evaluating range temporal, spatial, statistical descriptors. impact rigorously investigated applying proposed with case study dataset from Zurich, Switzerland. Our results demonstrate sampling rate used when collecting has significant intricate on derived patterns. This calls more attention investigate various issues ensure validity transportation practices.
